The Salama Community
Local community development
Our success relies on our linkages with the local community that enables us to achieve our objectives. We are about people, the environment that we work in and ensuring that our product continues to meet our customer requirements. The composition of the Salama Community is expansive see what it entails below.
UCDA
Mutual development
Uganda Coffee development an arm of Government that regulates the coffee sector in Uganda has played a critical role in our coming into existence being a reliable source of certified plantlets for planting, guidance and support in marketing, licensing of our operations and more.
Our Staff
it all starts with the people of salama
Our story would not be complete without the great effort of our staff and workers. And our workers wouldn’t deliver as well without our regard to them. At our estates, we have provided good housing and living environment to our workers, providing them with food and other necessities including medication.
We have enrolled children into a school within our estates as our commitment to them and their family’s futures. These children include those of workers, and others from the surrounding community.
school of the Blind
Helping the children of Salama
As our operations cannot be complete without the community, at Salama coffee we have continued the long term support of disadvantaged blind children of the country by providing 35 acres of land where they have a fully operational school for teaching not only academic subjects, but lifestyle skills as well.
Our Partners
Great Partners, great community
